Dr. Dre And Snoop Dogg Are Back With A New Album "Missionary" Coming Out Next Week And All Signs Point To It Being Straight Fire Flames
The rap gods have smiled upon us. Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, the ultimate dynamic duo of West Coast hip-hop, are reuniting for Missionary, a full-circle sequel to 1993’s Doggystyle that drops December 13th.
Snoop and Dre are back to remind the rap world what happens when icons stop by the studio to wreak havoc.
The album title Missionary is bold, cheeky, and 100% Snoop.
Dr. Dre is back behind the boards, and the album features a star-studded lineup of guests, including Eminem, 50 Cent, and even Tom Petty. That's right, Tom Petty. (On a track with Jelly Roll that sample's Petty's "Last Dance with Mary Jane".)
Here's the full track listing and features list -
Since teasing the album, Snoop has dropped some serious hints about what to expect. He's described the album as a "30th-anniversary tribute to 'Doggystyle'," and he's promised that it will be a "different level of maturity" compared to his earlier work.
Let’s put this in perspective: Doggystyle wasn’t just an album- it was a movement. Dre on production, Snoop’s smooth flow, and tracks like “Gin and Juice” redefined hip-hop forever. It was raw, unapologetic, and somehow, 30 years later, still the party playlist go-to. The fact that Dre and Snoop haven’t done a full project together since then is criminal. How is that even possible?
The feature list is bananas. There’s also a track with Jelly Roll and Sting (yes, that Sting), which is either the most ambitious crossover since Avengers: Endgame or the weirdest karaoke night imaginable.
Snoop and Dre also dropped the single “Outta Da Blue,” featuring Alus, who channels serious M.I.A. vibes with a nod to “Paper Planes" on the hook.
So far, we've gotten a taste of what's to come with the singles "Outta Da Blue" and "Gorgeous." Both tracks are classic Snoop, with laid-back beats, smooth rhymes, and a healthy dose of humor. "Outta Da Blue" is a fucking banger. The Dre beat is straight out of 2005, and both guys, despite their age, sound sharp as fuck.

The real highlight of the album is sure to be the collaboration between Eminem and 50 Cent on the track "Gunz N Smoke." This is the first time these three hip-hop legends have appeared on a track together, and it's sure to be an instant classic.
Missionary won't just a victory lap for Snoop and Dre; it’s a warning shot to the rap game. This isn’t TikTok-friendly mumble rap or algorithm bait. This is two of the greatest to ever do it reminding everybody what real hip hop sounds like.
p.s. - Stephen A had these two on his show recently to discuss the project and it was a pretty good interview.
